The Caribbean-Canadian Chamber of Commerce & Community (C5) is a groundbreaking, membership-based, voluntary association; driven by *diversity, *inclusion & *innovation.

Purpose: to advance the economic and social welfare of the Caribbean-Canadian community.
Mission: to connect, enable and engage progressive, diverse and collaborative women and men in innovative, success-strategies.
Vision: A thriving Caribbean-Canadian community.

The “Caribbean-Canadian” identity is defined as:
1. all women, men and children native to or descending from Caribbean countries; and
2. who self-identify as Caribbean or Caribbean-Canadian (including all races/ancestries/nationalities/ethnicities); and
3. who reside in Canada (including newcomers, migrants and citizens).

In broad terms, diversity is any dimension that can be used to differentiate groups and people from one another.  It means respect for and appreciation of differences in ethnicity, gender, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, education, and religion.
But it’s more than this.  We all bring with us diverse perspectives, work experiences, life styles and cultures. At C5 we know the power of diversity is unleashed when we respect and value differences.
Inclusion is a state of being valued, respected and supported. It’s about focusing on the needs of every individual and ensuring the right conditions are in place for each person to achieve his or her full potential. Inclusion is reflected in C5's culture, practices and relationships.  In simple terms, diversity is the mix; inclusion is getting the mix to work well together.
We believe that innovation is taking the actions required to create new ideas, processes or products, transform them into practical reality; which then lead to positive, effective change.
